Banner Year for GVSLL

We are excited to have you as a part of our wonderful league.  2015 was a banner year for GVSLL.  We started the year off with a family oriented Opening Day full of events for everyone.  Over 400 five through fifteen year-old players participated in our regular season and another 125 players participated in Fall Ball.  Hundreds of families enjoyed practices, games, and volunteered their time to make our league the best around.  Our GVSLL All-Star teams brought home multiple championship banners with our 11U, 12U and Junior Teams all winning District and Sectional Championships.  Our 10 year old team won our first ever 10U Sub-Regional Championship and played in the Southern California State Championship.

2016 promises to be another great year.  We look forward to helping your child and your family have a great experience at GVSLL.  Our Board of Directors is dedicated to making your experience a positive one.  Please feel free to contact us with any suggestions or questions.  You can use our new "Feedback" button on the left menu to share your thoughts with us.  Have a great season.

New Format for T-Ball 2016 - T-Ball / Coach Pitch

This year we are excited to introduce a “coach pitch” portion of our season for our 5 and 6 year olds. This new hybrid league will start the season with players hitting from the traditional tee and evolve with players hitting from soft tosses from Mangers and/or Coaches. Consideration will be given to the speed of the game and fair playing time for all. If a player fails to hit from a soft toss after three attempts, a tee will be immediately utilized. The safety of the players will not be jeopardized. If a player is not comfortable hitting from soft toss or light throws from a Manager or Coach, a tee will be immediately utilized. We hope this new format will be fun and continue to challenge our players as their skills grow throughout the season.

New Age Determination Dates from Little League

Our 10 year old and younger players will now use a new August 31 date to determine league age.  The age changes come from Little League and are aimed at having players play with other players in their same grade at school.  Click here to see the new age chart.  Click here to read an explanation from Little league about the new age determination and the new bat standards that will go into effect in 2018.
