GVSLL Families,
On behalf of the 2013 Board of Directors, I would like to welcome you to a new season at Goleta Valley South Little League.  Registration begins tomorrow, November 26.  We are excited to launch our NEW WEBSITE along with registration and hope you’ll take the time to look around and let us know your thoughts.  The registration process and payment will continue to be completed online and our website address remains the same; www.gvsll.com.  In the coming months, we hope your baseball experience will become more interactive and our information, more streamlined, by adopting this fantastic new tool.  The new website is just one of many items the Board has on its agenda.  Below is a summary of ongoing projects we’re working on to make your 2013 Season the best!
 

• Field and Facilities improvements.
• Minor and Mini-Minor Player Development Academy to be offered in January.
• Coaching Clinics to be offered pre-season. We have scheduled College-level Coaches and Players as well as Professional Scouts, who will teach our Coaches how to best teach our players.
• Completion of a Players Park, also known as the “Buy a Brick” program, which will landscape and create a family-friendly environment between the Major & Minor Fields. Check out our website to become involved with a low cost, high return donation.
• NEW website and streamlined League information.
• Online Registration and payment through Paypal.
• We have a GREAT Board of Directors this year who are excited to make this season a wonderful experience for you and your kids!

 
And some GREAT news for our Junior Division:
As many of you know, this Division has been struggling over the past few years.  The number of players in this age group has declined, making for an experience that has not been as good as we have hoped.  In an effort to turn this around, we have partnered with SB Pony League Baseball and arranged for the 13-14 year olds from Pony to play with GVSLL.  This is great news for this Division!  We are gaining many talented new players, as well as some talented Coaches.  This infusion of players, combined with a new era of cooperation with Dos Pueblos Little League, should make for a vibrant Junior Division Season.
